Villa in Umbria, Italy

Discover the Magic of being in your own Medieval Country Village at this ancient castle dating back to the beginning of the X century.

In the XVII century the property was left to the Curia of Gubbio that built a church dedicated to San Biagio and Santa Liberata. The church was used until the property was abandoned. The present owner discovered what they referred to as a “pile of rocks” in 2001 and the restoration took many years of devotion to reach its present glorious state. Most of the furniture, paintings, china and silver are from the owner family collection.

Located about 12 km form the medieval town of Gubbio and near the historical towns of Umbria such as Perugia, Assisi, Spello, Bevagna, Montefalco, Todi, and Trasimeno Lake.

The property consists of different cut stone buildings leading down to the infinity salt water pool and garden overlooking a pristine valley of secular olive trees and lush woods.

Menu consists of high quality ingredients, local specialties “zero miles food”, homemade bread and cakes, and genuine countryside hospitality.

The cuisine is based on typical Umbrian products, with fresh organic vegetables and extra virgin olive oil from their garden, which is their personal recipe.

How about a glass of the local Sagrantino di Montefalco wine, a sprinkling of truffles from Norcia on a homemade tagliatella pasta and great company!

Accommodates 18 to 20 guests.
